I did something really embarrassing last Saturday. I have the habit of having breakfast out with Jaden every Saturday unless the weather forbids. Therefore, just like any other Saturday, I woke up to his screaming (He wakes up usually at 7am and WM will look after him till he leaves for work at abt 8.15am. When he leaves, Jaden will start to call me, asking me to wake up. I usually ignore him till he gets really fruastrated and start screaming. Only then, will I get up from my bed).

Last Saturday was no different. We woke up, play till bath time and then prepared to go out. I couldn’t decide where to go for breakfast cos I had access to the car so I had so many choices like macdonalds at east coast or airport, cafĂ© cartel at hougang mall or swensons at CP. Kept thinking between these choices while packing and eventually, I settled or cartel since I could grab some ingredients for baking since my oven is finally fixed.

Jaden sat in his seat obediently cos I played “Elmo’s World” while driving. We got a seat, ardered our breakfast and started eating the bread happily. He started “disturbing” the rest of the diners as usual, talking to them, making funny faces, etc. He started getting impatient and so I decided to go. Only the, did I realized, I forgot my wallet!!! I was too busy deciding where to go I guess, that I’ve forgotten to bring my wallet along. Called my sis to bring it down for me, no choice. It was so so embarrassing…

Met up with my polymates in the evening for dinner at Outback Steakhouse. No pictures cos my sil took mine to europe. Jaden had dinner before going but he was still hungry, he ate a lot of my French fries. The best part was, he dipped them in my chilli sauce!! I thought hit would be spicy for him and was waiting for him to fuss abt it but who noes, he dipped the next one with chilli too and ate it… I think, he has this nerve missing in him cos he eats otah, curry, chilli sauce, lime, lemon, sour plums, etc and has no reaction to them!! Anyway, he had a good time playing with my friends. I think cos they are all guys and play “Boy” stuff with him; he really enjoyed their company. We did quite a bit of catching up too. Looking back, its been almost 10 years we’ve all known each other.

We went shopping again on Sunday and had lunch at Crystal Jade. Jaden enjoyed the fried rice as much as his daddy does and he actually finish half a bowl without any struggling at all!! It shows how much he enjoyed because he hates it everytime I give him rice instead of porridge at home and I have to struggle with him for almost an hour before he finishes his food. Spoilt!!!

Climbing up the Big Big Bed

I think boys are generally much more difficult to handle as compared to girls. I do agree that little girls nowadays can be as active as little boys, but no matter how active they are, at some point in time, you can see their quiet moments, sitting down without getting on your nerves. However, this does not happen to most of the little boys out there. It seems that they are filled with zillions of energy; they can wait to get them out. Every weekend, I go through 2 full days of physical training with him. He touches everything that he sees, pulls everything that is within his reach. He climbs up the coffee table, sits there and meddle with all my things. He crawl under the coffee table, attempting to reach for Sasha when she’s sleeping or resting there. He uses his toys, or anything that's in his hands, and throw them at his 3 poor Mini Schnauz. He runs after them, scare them and pulls their fur. He tries walking around with his both eyes close, he ended up banging into the wall several times. He walks into the bathroom, sticks his hands into the toilet bowl to play with the water in there. I spend my weekend days watching him, chasing after him.

He loves to play “Catching” recently. I dunno where he learnt this from, but after his bathe on Saturday, I picked up his diapers and wanted to put it on for him. He laughed as he ran away from he and hide behind his cot. He was giggling away when I ran to him. Then before he head back to my parent’s place, he did the same thing when I picked up his shorts. I have to threaten him that I’m leaving without him before he willingly came back to me.

We went for Fathers Day dinner at Elias on Saturday. On Sunday, we had Fish head Steamboat. Its tough bringing a kid out for dinner. He insist of having his set of cutlery, not for use, but so that he can knock and make noises with it, which is very rude. He does not cooperate and refuse to sit in his high chair throughout the dinner. He hates eating proper meal and spit his food all over. He throws tissue paper all over the floor and I have to clear up his mess.

My mum was telling me about an incident that happened a few days back. My dad and her were watching TV in the room and J was running around, close to the bed. My dad commented, “ Luckily, he’s not leant how to climb up our bed. Else we cant watch TV so peacefully and have to watch out for him”. The next minute, J was climbing up their bed with the help of the bed frame, smiling at them. He seems to be trying to prove them wrong. Haha… I witness him climbing up my bed too. Have to be extra careful from now.

Nowadays, he sticks to me like a Koala bear when I reach home from work. I guess he is just not used to my absence for the whole dy and also leaving him alone at popo’s place. He insist that I carry him immediately when I reach home, without even allowing me to put my bag down. Then he will shout at whoever attempts to carry him, even gonggong and popo.

Am typing from office. No mood for work.

Last evening when I left from my parents place, my sis decided to try letting J "witness" me leave. When he saw me carrying my bags and my barangs, he knows its time to go home. Insisted that carried him, he refuse to go back to my mum. We had a little struggle at the door cos he was clinging on to me like a koala bear, refusing to free his grasp on me. The next second, he was wailing away so badly, he was gasping for his breath. I could hear what was happening while waiting for the lift. My sis was trying to pacify him by offering him her laptop and he actually refused the laptop. A chance to play with the computer means alot to J and he willingly gives up anything just to get a chance to play with it. It shows how badly he wants to go home with me.... *heartbreak*

He's learnt how to sip from a straw about a month ago. It started with some apple juice. He loves the sweetness and tried to sip after I tried demonstrating it to him. They learn so fast... He mimicked me browsing through clothes by pushing the hangers on the display to n fro and started clapping his hands, smiling proudly at me. I realised, we have to watch our behavior from now on,looking at the rate he is learning.... Juz last week, he suddenly showed me some funny noise he makes by sucking his lower lips and playing with his throat to make some weird noise that sounded like a frog, it was so amusing that i was laughing so badly.

Its thursday, looking forward to tomorrow so that I can bring him home again! We're considering bringing him to watch Kungfu Panda but I guess he may not have the patience to finish the whole show... Shall see how den.

I haven got the time to update anything for the past one month. Started work for almost a month. HORRIBLE. You muz be thinking, its y problem cos i haven been working for so long. But hey... Lishan is oso suffering there okay. Both of us are juz staying put till a better offer comes along. Seriously, I wonder if i can last till a better offer comes along.

Wormy is a big boy now. Well, he's a big boy to me. He's turning 16 month next tuesday. Nowadays, its tough to look after him. He always seems to be so full of energy, its not easy to keep up with him. Wm agrees too and he even suggested that its time we should start exercising. He now knows how to say "No" if he doesn't want/like something by shaking his head. He will also nod his head if he wants something. Having grown taller, he can now reach alot of things which he cant previously and so, we had to place our fragile things somewhere else. He shares food with us too. Everytime he ask for his snacks, he'll feed whoever is with him too. So sweeeeet...

He'll touch things which we forbid him to, like the fan, switch, bowls (he's broken so many, we've lost track how many he broke),etc. He's a busybody too. Everytime my phone rings or if there an sms, he'll bring the phone to me and insist that i answer or read my sms. He loves to play with my phone and he's so careless, he always drop it. I've sent my phone for repair twice in less than 6 months. Just last week.... while i was busy filling his bathtub with water for his shower, he happily took ny phone, dipped it in his water and asked me to look at what he did. Seeing his proud face, I forgot about being angry and started laughing away.. I finally understand why parents can laugh at naughty doings of their children.

We brought him to town last saturday and did some shopping. He enjoyed playing with other kids that he met. I realised, he loves baby too. Its been many occasion that I see him running to prams with newborn sleeping inside. He smile and touches their little feets. Then he'll turn to me and smile at me, like he wants to tell he that he loves that baby. Many people had been telling me that its time to have a second one since Jaden loves baby soo much. I would love to, but den again, when i think abt labour, confinement, sleepless feeding nites, etc.... Its scary. Also, I will not have the privilege to spend personal time with Jaden anymore. Yes I know, Im thinking too much. But one more baby, its a added responsibility, added expenses.

Let nature takes its course la.....

Some photos...

We attend my cousin wedding a few Sundays ago. Decided to gel his hair ... Nice! haha!
