Almost A Year Later...

It was a good old 10 months since my last post. Reading back, i realised how much we have learn and change. Changes were for the better, of course. :)

Daddy is now more pro-active in his responsibility as a father. He can handle Jaden without me ard.

The biggest change is, we have a new addition to our family! Didi was born on 5th September 2009. He weigh 2.67kg, with a length of 46cm. 1 cm shorter that Jaden and a mere 20g heavier than Jaden. This time round, my labour was even much much much more faster than the first time. It was just 2+hours and the pain is as horrible. Shall not talk about the pain.

This time round, both of us felt that we are more prepared. Probably due to the fact that it is the second child, but i think, the biggest factor is that we are more prepared to have a kid compared to the first time. I still remember that i had mild post natal blues the first time round, i felt lost and stress when jaden was born. This time was much better. I know how to handle a crying baby, how to pacify him, how to differentiate his crying, know when he is hungry, etc. Stress, but yet i know i will be able to cope with it this time. The only thing that i dread, is breastfeeding. I had been procratination to bf didi till yday, i tried to express for the first time. Shall see how long i can go this time round. Probably less than a month....

While you sleep....

While you were sleeping, I dare not sleep as I need to prepare his lunch/dinner.
While you were sleeping, I rock him to sleep.
While you were sleeping, I wait for him to to sound asleep so that I can move him to his cot.
While you were sleeping, I pacify him when he fuss in the middle of the night.
While you were sleeping, I make him milk, feed him milk and rock him back to sleep in the middle of the night.

So what is so difficult about washing a milk bottle, milking him milk, keeping him company or even bringing us out for a walk???

30th August 2008: Happy Birthday PoPo!

We went for a second round of studio session today. Yes, it's the second time in less than half a year. I must be crazy, but then, since Foto-U is going to increase their rate, I thought I should go for a session before the price hike. The expiry for this promotion is on 31st August. Initially, I wanted to do it on Dad's birthday but he wasn;t well during that period, I postponed it to Mum's birthday instead. I was more well prepared this time round cos I'm already "experienced", we brought the proper "props" this time round. I bought balloons from one of the BP threads and ordered a cake for the studio session.

J wasn't really cooperative this time round, he was avoiding the camera but Waipeng was really good. She managed to make J happy by giving him toys he like. When we brought the cake out, J was so happy, it was as if it's his birthday! Perhaps he was feeling hungry, he kept asking for "mum mum' when he saw the cake. Popo had to steal abit of cream to pacify him. While we were busy taking our positions for the shoot, J was quietly stealing the cream from the cake and brillian Waipeng, she manage to snap all those beautiful Pic!
This studio session was really worth the time, $$ and effort cos we caught many nice pics of J.

14th August 2008: Coping well with work life

I have started work for almost 2 weeks. Things are going pretty good for me I think. I do really hope that I can stay in this job for long.

The people here are nice, much much nicer than those in my previous company. And most importantly, I think I have a good boss. Another colleague who came in on the same day as me was actually pregnant after the interview and so before she signed the letter, she informs our boss that she is expecting. He was fine with it and told her not to worry. Isn't that nice??

We were told by the colleague here that it is a "fertile ground" here. Cos basically, the people here get pregnant one after another and so, Lynn warned me to be careful. That gave me a scare cos my menses was unusually late for almost 2 week, but luckily, it came…

For the last 2 weeks, I have been bringing Jaden home every night unlike previously when I was working; I only bring him home on Friday and over the weekend. I think this is a better arrangement cos I don't miss him that much at work anymore as I still get to play with him in the morning. I used to miss him so much, that I dread going to work. I'm not sure whether it's the environment here either, but, after 2 weeks, I'm still going on well so I'm pretty happy with my current arrangement. Jaden seems happier this way too I think cause he dun seem to be sticking to me that much and being grouchy like how he used to be when I went to work.

We met Jac and Cerlyn last Saturday at Imperial treasures for Dim Sum cum lunch. Jon n Steph joined us cos we couldn't meet them for dinner the night before and so, WM asked them to join us. That left me with little time to catch up with the gals cos WM told me to sit with them so steph wun be bored. Hopefully, we'll get to do a lunch/dinner one of these days again, just by ourselves... We actually spent more than half a day in taka that day and were very tired by the time we headed home. Jaden had fun playing with Faith and it was good because we could actually concentrate on looking at our things while the 2 kids played themselves at the corner. That day was the day where Jaden finally met someone his match. He was always out "bullying" people, hugging and kissing them. But that day, Faith was "better at it and Jaden was so shocked. It was good cos at least he noes, He's not the boss.

My Last Day as a SAHM

Today is my last day as a SAHM again. Im going to start work tml and I hope, Nothing will go wrong. My jobs this year had been very short lived and thus its making me feel sort of, nervous about tml. I do hope this will be the one.

I received a email from Go Go Bambini sometime last week and I remember that i saw something like, "Kids below 2yr plays for free". So this morning, I decided, since its my last day at home, I might as well bring J there. Even if its not free, at least he still get to play.

We reach there slightly past noon, and because its a weekday and still pretty early, theres no crowd at all. Usually when we go on weekends, where there are so many kids and the older kids are always very rough, I had to keep my eyes on J to make sure he is safe. Today, there was only J and another gal, who is 1 month older than J, in the ball pool. They had fun playing together, J hugged the gal while they were playing. Oh my, he's been showing affection to almost every girls he meets since last Saturday. So embarrassing.

We moved to the bigger play areas shortly after since J never got a chance to play there when its crowded cos its too dangerous. He had fun playing in the big area, climbing up the slide, sliding down, standing on a merry-go-round lookalike, until he had a big fall. I think he hurt his right elbow cos when i ran to him, he kept pointing his right elbow. I was worried that he might have fractured his elbow but he was back to normal in less than 5 mins so i bet, he's fine.

We had our lunch there too cos J played too hard and was hungry although he had his porridge before we left for GGB. He saw some kids having french fries and sandwiches, he was salivating and asking me for "mumm mumm". He continued playing after food until he saw the computers there and started playing with them.

He was shouting excitedly when he saw the first ball pool near the entrance and wanted to jump in. I had to drag him to the area for younger kids. We had a huge struggle, trying to put his socks on before he enter, and look at him when he jump in.....................

Monthes ago at Gymboree, he feared taking the slides. Today, he tried it agin and love it.

Hungry boy waiting for his food...
